Our Annual Harvest Festival is taking place on Saturday, September 21st from 10am-12pm at Baird Point on UB’s North Campus. Parking is available in Arena Lot, Lake Lasalle Lot, and Furnace Hall Lot.
There will be face-painting, games and fall-activities for you and your Little to enjoy. Snacks will be provided.
The Foundry is a studio/gallery space for local artisans, started by Net+Positive, a Foundation with the mission of activating models of neighborhood prosperity through innovations in housing, entrepreneurship and the environment. On the second Saturday of each month, The Foundry hosts an evening of arts and music, with different acts featured each time. Fresh Produce is always on sale from local farms, too! It’s a great way to support local artists and musicians with your Little! The Foundry also hosts several workshops that might be of interest to you and your Little. The Erie County Fair is seeking volunteers to coordinate their Canned Food Drive as well as the Johnsonville Brats Big Taste Grill. All volunteers receive a voucher for free admission to the fair ($10 Savings) to use later that day or any other day after their shift. Canned Food Drive Volunteers are needed to collect donations from fair patrons approaching admission gates; be energized to provide a smile and a “thank you.” Volunteer tee-shirts, bottled water, sunscreen, tent shelters for sun/rain protection and limited bench space will be available. Children under 16 are welcome to work the food drive when accompanied by an adult! Buffalo Urban Outdoor Education Foundation presents a two-hour exploration sail on Lake Erie aboard the Spirit of Buffalo. Queen City Ferry offers a water ferry service between Buffalo’s inner and outer harbor. Board the Queen City Ferry at the Central Wharf. The Ferry travels to the Outer Harbor, Erie Basin Marina and along the Buffalo River to Riverfest Park in Buffalo’s old First Ward district. Operations are daily from 12-8pm mid May through September. Round trip takes approximately one (1) hour. Tickets are priced at $8 for adults, $6 for children.
