At Gateway Harbor in Tonawanda you can rent a Hydro Bike, Kayak or Stand-Up Paddle Board for about $10/hour. This is a fun way to get out and enjoy the summer sunshine on the water with your Little. Buffalo Urban Outdoor Education Foundation presents a two-hour exploration sail on Lake Erie aboard the Spirit of Buffalo. Young Audiences of Western New York will once again be hosting regular summer shows and activities at Canalside and Old Falls again this summer! Every Wednesday 11am and 12pm at Canalside July 2nd through August 27th (44 Prime Street Buffalo, NY 14202) Every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 12pm and 1pm July 2nd-August 23rd (Old Falls Street Niagara Falls 14303)   Dynamic and educational summer experiences that explore Western New York’s history with local artists in dance, spoken word, music, theatre, and visual arts. The Erie County Fair is seeking volunteers to coordinate their Canned Food Drive as well as the Johnsonville Brats Big Taste Grill. All volunteers receive a voucher for free admission to the fair ($10 Savings) to use later that day or any other day after their shift.     Canned Food Drive Volunteers are needed to collect donations from fair patrons approaching admission gates; be energized to provide a smile and a “thank you.” Volunteer tee-shirts, bottled water, sunscreen, tent shelters for sun/rain protection and limited bench space will be available. Children under 16 are welcome to work the food drive when accompanied by an adult! Summer Reading 2013, Buffalo and Erie County Public Library Kids ages 12 & under Summer Reading participants are asked to write brief book reviews, each of which counts as an entry in a prize drawing. The more book reviews submitted, the better chances of winning. Submissions can be fiction or nonfiction books. There are some great prizes to be won. The book reviews can be submitted online.
