New headshotBig Brothers Big Sisters of Erie County and Media Sponsor Kiss 98.5 are excited to celebrate Liz Callahan as our first 2016 Women Who Move the City Wednesday Honoree!

A quote from Liz’s nomination explains the scope and impact her volunteerism has had on the people of our community, “Her work has brought communities out of their households, improved the lives of refugees, put food in front of the needy in South Buffalo and was the catalyst for the start of a community garden. It’s cut across the boundaries of the city geographically, economically and racially.”

Liz is the Workforce Development Manager at the Buffalo Niagara Partnership. In this role, she is responsible for leading the Partnership’s workforce development and education initiatives including the Buffalo Niagara 360 young professionals program that provides regular community engagement opportunities for its members.

Liz recently graduated from the Fellowship for Education Attainment through the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.  Her role models include her sister, Cati Callahan and the ever positive, Leslie Knope from the TV show Parks & Recreation.
