    Kennedy Colon – Defender of Potential Kennedy Colon is a graduating Senior at the University at Buffalo where she studies Civil Engineering and is the current President of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Collegiate Chapter.   • BIG News: Name Change & Move for Big Brothers Big Sisters

    For Immediate Release Buffalo, N.Y. – The local mentoring agency known as Be-A-Friend Program, Inc. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie County for the last 45+ years is growing and has changed its name to reflect the new service area approved by Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA). The agency will now be known as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie, Niagara and the Southern Tier. BBBSA has designated the Southern Tier service area to include Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties.   • The Big Mixer

    Come join the BBBSEC Big Mirror Committee as they host a second Big Mixer on Thursday, January 31st from 6pm-9pm at Mes Que. Guests can enjoy food and drinks while chatting with current Big Brothers and Big Sisters and will even have the opportunity to sign up to become a mentor.   • Ford Friendship for BBBSEC Friendships!

    BBBSEC received a donation of a Ford Flex through the Friendship Express program provided by the Ford Dealers of WNY. The vehicle will be used to transport groups of boys in our Partners for Youth program to different activities and events. Additionally, we will use it for small group outings for matches in our Site-Based and Community-Based programs. Thank you to the Ford Dealers of WNY for helping us broaden the horizons of our kids with a new set of wheels!

  • Women Who Move the City Wednesday-Congrats Breanna Pugh!

    Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie County and Media Sponsor, Kiss 98.5 are excited to honor Breanna Pugh as this week’s Women Who Move the City Wednesday Honoree! Breanna, a Marketing Manager at Ivoclar Vivadent in Amherst, dedicates countless hours of her free time to supporting local charities. As a member of B Team Buffalo, a group that focuses on improving the city of Buffalo and surrounding communities through volunteer opportunities, she has helped on projects with multiple community organizations. This year, Breanna served as a committee member for the B Team’s City of Light project.
