Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie County is honored to celebrate Lorna MacDonald Czarnota as this week’s featured Women Who Move the City Wednesday (WWMTC) Honoree!  Lorna, an award-winning storyteller and author, has delighted audiences in schools, libraries, festivals and conferences throughout the United States, Canada, and Ireland with traditional and original stories since 1985.  She is the founder and executive director of Crossroads Story Center, Inc., a not-for-profit reaching at-risk youth through story, music and art.  The organization is dedicated to helping young people navigate troubled waters through the model of story by mentoring and forming productive adult/youth partnerships.  Lorna’s healing story work is recognized in national and international storytelling communities. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie County is honored to celebrate Zandra Cunningham as this week’s Women Who Move the City Wednesday (WWMTC) Honoree! Zandra is a 17-year old entrepreneur who started her creative journey at the age of 9 mixing up lip balm in her home kitchen. She joined the Kids Biz Small Business Development Center at Buffalo State College and the rest is history. Today her Buffalo based company, Zandra Beauty, works out of a compliant production and distribution facility and sells her impressive line of products online and in retail locations. Liz currently serves on the Board of Directors for Journey’s End Refugee Services and WNY STEM Hub. She is on the communications committee for the WNY Women’s Foundation and the event committee for the South Buffalo Community Table’s annual fundraiser and for Startup Grind.
