A list of holiday activities and events during the month of December.
November is Native American Heritage Month, a time to honor the rich histories, traditions, and contributions of Indigenous peoples. In New York State, we recognize eight federally acknowledged tribes, many of whom belong to the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, also known as the “People of the Longhouse.” Their symbol, the Hiawatha Belt, embodies a legacy of peace among five of the six nations.
From the invention of lacrosse to place names like Manhattan, Indigenous cultures have left an enduring mark on our land and history.
Discover local exhibits and virtual resources to deepen your and your Littles understanding and appreciation of Native American heritage this month!
Our annual holiday celebration returns on Friday, December 13th from 6-8 PM at Harlem Road Community Center.
Free movie screenings, Crafting Meetups, and Musical Performances are just some of the events going on this November!
SUMMER IS HERE! Here’s a handful of activity ideas for you and your Little to participate in during this first full summer month, including farmers markets, Penn Dixie, Shakespeare in the Park, First Fridays at Buffalo museums, and more.
