The holidays are a time to gather, play, share food, and enjoy the company of those who matter most—and that’s exactly what we did at this year’s annual BBBS Holiday Celebration. Held at the welcoming Harlem Road Community Center, the event brought together Bigs, Littles, and Match Family members for an evening filled with joy, games, music, and connection.
Holiday Trivia Brings Out the Competitive Spirit
Our Bigs and Littles teamed up and put on their “thinking caps” for an exciting Holiday Trivia competition. Teams answered questions about holiday movies, nostalgic toys, and festive traditions across three spirited rounds. When the scores were tallied, Team “Holiday Rocket Launchers” soared to victory, earning bragging rights and a collection of gift cards as their prize.
Karaoke Brings Holiday Classics to Life
A highlight of the evening came when some of our more musically gifted Littles took center stage during Holiday Karaoke. They treated everyone to lively renditions of holiday classics, including Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You”, José Feliciano’s “Feliz Navidad”, and other cherished songs. With their energy and talent, don’t be surprised if Western New York has another contestant on ‘The Voice’ in the future!
Festive Fun for Everyone
From stuffed animal door prizes for Littles to delectable potluck desserts shared by attendees, the evening was packed with warmth and togetherness. The holiday spirit was undeniable.
We are so grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make this night such a success. It’s moments like these that remind us of the magic that happens when Bigs and Littles come together—supporting, celebrating, and uplifting one another.
