We’re still riding high after an incredible BIG Draft 2025 event at the King Urban Life Center—and our BIG Combine the night before at Hofbräuhaus Buffalo! Across both gatherings, we successfully recruited a handful of new mentors ready to change lives. Many of our Littles got to experience a true “draft day” moment—rocking brand-new suits provided by our partner (and now Big Brother!) Dewitt Lee and St. Brian Clothiers. We were honored to be joined by former Buffalo Bills defensive back and President of the Buffalo Bills Alumni Foundation,Jeff Nixon, who shared powerful reflections on mentorship and investing in Buffalo’s youth. One special highlight: St. Brian Clothiers presented Sandra “Gumby” Nesbitt with an award for standout mentorship, recognizing her dedication to coaching the young ladies of the GR8 Elite girls youth flag football team.
BIG thanks to everyone who made this two-day experience unforgettable: St. Brian Clothiers for styling our Littles, The Buffalo Mafioso and Buffalo Ghostface for bringing out the fan energy, and King Urban Life Center for hosting us in their beautiful, historic space. D Real McCoy (Devon McCune) handled our A/V like a pro, Jonathan Zelasko of The Vintage Raider 716 brought out some awesome vintage Bills gear to give away, and our friends at The Challenger, Legendary Mix 1080 WUFO, Power 96.5, and WUFO’s Muki Hawkins who helped spread the word about the events. We’re grateful for every person and partner who showed up, suited up, and helped bolster our team and change the lives of many Littles waiting for a Big.
