Welcoming a proven nonprofit leader to guide the next chapter of mentorship and community impact across Western New York.

New Leadership. A New Chapter for BBBSENST

We are thrilled to share an exciting new chapter for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie, Niagara & the Southern Tier.

Please join us in welcoming Benjamin Marchione as our new Chief Executive Officer, effective April 6, 2026.

Ben brings more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience, most recently serving as Regional Director for Make-A-Wish Western New York, where he led operations across a 17-county footprint.

Throughout his career, Ben has demonstrated a strong ability to build and lead high-performing teams, cultivate meaningful community partnerships, and drive fundraising and mission-based impact. His collaborative leadership style and deep passion for mentorship position our organization for continued growth and success.

“Ben’s compassion, experience, and mission-driven leadership position us well for the next chapter,” said Board President Tim Silverstein. “We’re excited to welcome him and continue building on our strong foundation.”

This leadership transition marks an exciting opportunity to deepen our community connections and expand our impact across Erie, Niagara, and the Southern Tier. Together, we are creating something even BIGGER for the youth and families we serve.

For decades, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie, Niagara & the Southern Tier has ignited the power and promise of young people through one-to-one mentoring. The youth we serve gain confidence, build stronger futures, and develop a greater sense of what they can achieve.

“I’m honored to step into this role at a time when mentorship and meaningful connection matter more than ever,” said Marchione. “When we invest in young people, we don’t just change individual lives, we strengthen entire communities.”

As Ben steps into this role, we look forward to introducing him to our community and sharing more in the weeks ahead.

Together, we continue to move forward—Bigger Together.
