An unforgettable day of play, teamwork, and connection.
On a beautiful Saturday at the Kaleida Health Performance Center at One Bills Drive, 125 Bigs and Littles came together for a day filled with movement, laughter, teamwork, and connection during Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie, Niagara & the Southern Tier’s annual Flag Football Event.
The morning kicked off with skill-building drills where participants learned the fundamentals of flag football before putting those new skills into action during a series of friendly games and scrimmages. Whether they were catching passes, scoring touchdowns, or cheering on their friends from the sidelines, every participant had the chance to experience the joy of play in an incredible setting.
But the day was about far more than football.
It was about relationships. It was about confidence. It was about creating positive experiences that strengthen the bonds between mentors and youth while building memories that will last long after the final whistle.
This event is a perfect example of the Big Brothers Big Sisters mission in action — creating opportunities for young people to feel supported, encouraged, and connected through the power of mentorship.
