A PICTURE-PERFECT DAY FOR MENTORSHIP
Celebrating the 20th Annual FORE the Children Golf Tournament
Mentored youth are 43% more likely to graduate high school, 20% more likely
to enroll in college, and earn an average of $200,000 more over their
lifetimes than their peers without mentors.
Those aren’t just statistics; they’re the reason our community comes together
each year for the FORE the Children Golf Tournament.
On August 3, supporters, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners gathered
at beautiful Transit Valley Country Club for the
20th Annual FORE the Children Golf Tournament, united by one
mission: helping local children realize their full potential through the
power of mentorship.
What began as a cloudy Western New York morning quickly gave way to sunshine,
setting the stage for an unforgettable day filled with friendly competition,
laughter, generosity, and hope.
More Than a Round of Golf
Every sponsorship, every foursome, every volunteer shift, every raffle ticket
purchased, and every conversation throughout the day helped move our mission
forward.
Thanks in part to the generosity of our incredible supporters,
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie, Niagara & the Southern Tier
will directly impact more than 300 local youth this year – not
to mention the impact on their families and the Bigs who consider it a
privilege to serve this mission.
That is the true success of the day.

An event of this magnitude doesn’t happen without an incredible team of
people working together.

Every dollar raised helps create, support, and sustain one-to-one mentoring
relationships that empower young people to build confidence, achieve their
goals, and realize their full potential.
When a child is matched with a caring adult mentor, the impact extends far
beyond that one relationship. It strengthens families, schools, workplaces,
and our entire community.
That is the lasting legacy of the
FORE the Children Golf Tournament.
Looking Ahead
Although we’re still celebrating the success of this year’s tournament,
we’re already looking ahead to our next signature event,
The BIG Celebration Gala on Saturday, November 7.
