A Note on Sharing the Art of Friendship!

We are excited to announce that five of the beautiful Art of Friendship pieces, created by are Bigs & Littles, are now available as note cards!  This wonderful project was sponsored by the Philanthropic Committee at Ingram Micro.  A BIG thank you for their support of our Bigs & Littles expressing themselves creatively and for sponsoring this unique project!  

You can have a note card set of your very own for a $5.00 donation to BBBSEC.  With the inside blank, they make wonderful all occasion cards!  You can learn more about getting a set of your very own by clicking here.  We are also looking for opportunities to “set up shop” at local companies and events.     Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie County is honored to celebrate  Danielle Lewis as this week’s featured Women Who Move the City Wednesday (WWMTC) Honoree!  Serving her community has been how Danielle has chosen to pay forward the mentorship and support she received while developing as a young person. Danielle recently completed a three-year term on the Compass House Board of Directors, serving as Vice Chair and the Annual Fundraiser Chair. In the latter role, she led the transition from a traditional fundraising dinner event to a weekend brunch with the goal of building a new generation of donors for the organization.   • Big and Little Books & Breakfast

    Bank of America presented a $16,000 check at the Books & Breakfast event on Saturday, May 14th for our Bigs & Littles. The funds donated by Bank of America will provide more children the opportunity to be matched with a mentor through BBBSEC’s Community Based Mentoring (CBM) program. In addition to the funds donated, a team of twelve Bank of America employees distributed books collected during a drive held in April and early May to our Littles. The group also volunteered to serve breakfast and help with activities. Over 50 Big Brothers Big Sisters matches enjoyed the pancake breakfast, and book donation. Additionally, tips and tidbits of information about healthy breakfast choices were on each table. The children completed a puzzle based on this information…
