10th Year for the Fore The Children Golf Tournament

Fore the Children Co-Chairs present the 1st Place awards to Phil Petoniak & Upstate Pharmacy.
A BIG thanks to all who supported our 10th Annual Fore the Children Golf Tournament presented by PCB Piezotronics at Transit Valley Country Club on Monday, August 25th!  We raised $60k to match more local kids facing adversity with caring mentors!

The day started out rainy but the skies cleared in time for our 12:30 pm start.  Attendees enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of golf, contests, food and drinks.  A BIG thanks to our specialty sponsors who helped make the event so special!

The day ended with dinner, awards and basket, silent and live auctions. Congratulations to the following:

    Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie County and Media Sponsor Kiss 98.5 are excited to celebrate Liz Callahan as our first 2016 Women Who Move the City Wednesday Honoree! Liz currently serves on the Board of Directors for Journey’s End Refugee Services and WNY STEM Hub. She is on the communications committee for the WNY Women’s Foundation and the event committee for the South Buffalo Community Table’s annual fundraiser and for Startup Grind.     Join Us! Fore the Children Golf Tournament

    BBBSEC’s Annual Fore the Children Golf Tournament, presented by PCB Piezotronics, will be held on Monday, July 27th at Transit Valley Country Club. Golfers will enjoy a wonderful day on a beautiful course and a golfer gift, lunch and beverages. A delicious dinner will also be served following golf and guests will enjoy a basket & live auction.   • TransitowneUSA- A Little Warmth Makes a Big Difference.

    Just in time for the winter weather, TransitowneUSA representatives presented warm winter hats, gloves and scarves to the children involved in BBBSEC at a pancake breakfast with their mentors on Saturday,December 10th at the Niagara Frontier American Legion Post. TransitowneUSA collected the winter accessories during their “A Little Warmth Makes a BIG Difference” campaign held at all of their locations in November.  TransitowneUSA customers received a gift certificate for a free oil change for bringing in a donation to benefit a child in BBBSEC. In addition to enjoying a delicious breakfast and receiving the winter accessories, each child also made a snowman measuring stick craft to take home and measure the latest snowfall!

    We are excited to announce that the video submitted by Big Sister, Emily Felmet, that was a finalist in First Niagara’s 2016 Mentoring Matters Grant Giveaway Contest. won the top prize of  $10,000!
