Amazing Night Celebrating Amazing Women!
A BIG Thank You to our sponsors and all who attended our 5th Annual Women Who Move the City! The funds raised at this event will help us to match more Little Sister with Big Sisters thus, creating the next generation of Women Who Move the City! New Wheels For Summer
A fun summer is ahead for the six Little Brothers and Little Sisters in our program who received brand new bikes on Friday. The bike build and donation was one of several projects completed on Global Volunteer Day by employees of Life Technologies Corporation located on Grand Island. Similar projects were happening at Life Technologies offices across the globe! This is the 4th year that Littles involved in BBBSEC received brand new bikes. The donation was a complete surprise to the Littles. They arrived with their Bigs at Life Technologies thinking they were going to have a tour and learn a bit more about the company. Women Who Move the City Wednesday- Congrats Raziya Hill!
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie County is honored to celebrate Raziya Hill as this week’s Women Who Move the City Wednesday (WWMTC) Honoree! A native of Buffalo, Raziya is passionate about alleviating financial hardships experienced by families when needing to provide diaper and wipes on a consistent basis. To address this need, she is the Founder and Executive Director of Every Bottom Covered (EBC), a diaper bank that operates out of the Delavan Grider Community Center. EBC provides diapers and wipes on a monthly basis at no cost to low-income families in the Western New York area.
